Tiffany Woo
Social Chair
Experience

Tiffany Woo is a sophomore at Wellesley College double majoring in Economics and Mathematics. She has been an active member of the Wellesley College Republicans since 2006 and was elected Social Chair in 2007. Since then, she has organized and coordinated region-wide socials including Boston College, Boston University, Tufts University, Mount Holyoke College, and Harvard University, among others. The largest event to date is the annual Wellesley College GOP Anniversary Gala, which involves College Republicans from all over the New England area.

She is actively involved within her community in a variety of other areas, allowing her to hone her organizational and managerial skills. Her other experience includes:

- Merrill Lynch - Global Wealth Management, Financial Advisor Assistant
- Student Admission Representative Council, Coordinator
- Newman Catholic Center, Intercollegiate Representative
- Pre-Law Society, Lecture Chair
- Student Government, Senator
- Mathematics Department, Tutor

Through each of her activities, Tiffany is constantly interacting with her fellow students and the administration, serving as both a liaison and representative. From her community involvement, Tiffany has gained experience coordinating events, both social and business, with other students, organizations, and corporations. She knows how to work closely with College administration in order to plan and host events, gaining as much support as possible from the general public as a whole.

Tiffany will use her myriad of experiences to make the MACR and its constituent colleges stronger and more supportive as individual organizations and as one whole association.

Vision

In 2008, I would like to continue to improve and to implement measures where Republican ideals can thrive. My goal is to facilitate the growth of the MACR, drawing upon the strength of our existing social infrastructure. I will continue to network with other college Republicans, keeping community channels open. I believe that communication in tandem with purposeful action is essential.

As Social Chair, I will aim to coordinate three region-wide events per semester. At this crucial juncture, these events will be functions in which we can rally to support our Republican candidates in the upcoming elections. In addition, these affairs will be a forum in which we can engage in discussion. Finally, I hope to create an ambience where we, as College Republicans, will know one another on a personal basis, united and strong.

I am enthusiastic and confident that this upcoming season will be a success. Together, I hope that we will fearlessly strive to integrate novel events, members and ideas into this formidable association.
