Timothy Medeiros
Central Vice Chairman

Experience

Tim Medeiros is a junior at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in the Charlton College of Business, with a concentration in Marketing. Tim has been involved with the club chapter at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth since the spring of 2007 serving as the Executive Director since the fall of 2007.
In the fall of 2007 Tim was voted unanimously by the Executive Board to replace the previous Central Regional Chair in the Massachusetts Alliance of College Republicans. Tim oversaw the growth of the region and also maintained contacts.
Tim played an influential role in reorganizing the region and improving contact amongst the chapters in the region. Tim has also helped promote and attend various events occurring in his region. Tim has established contacts at each school in his region with the current chair of each chapter.
Tim has also played a fundamental role in expanding his region and trying to promote growth in the Central Region. Tim has also assisted in establishing a chapter at a school in his region and has kept in close contact with a representative from the school.

Vision

It has been a privilege to represent and serve the Central Region in 2007-2008.  In the coming year, I will continue to expand the region to other schools.  I will also continue to stay in contact and establish new contacts with the current chapters in my region.  I will continue to pass the resources that I have on to the various chapters in my region and continue to keep the chapters informed of everything happening in the Massachusetts Alliance of College Republicans.
One of the main goals that I have for the region is that I believe that the region needs more continuity between the chapters.  I will establish this continuity by having monthly conference calls within the region to talk to the other chapters and discuss what can be done better within the region.  This will also get a chance for the chapters to communicate with one another about various struggles the chapters are having and this gives a chance for the other chapters to help each other out.
Another goal is that I plan on visiting most of the chapters in the region, whether it be at a social event or even a club meeting!  I believe that no interaction is better than face-to-face, and I can think of no better way to address the needs of my region than to go and meet the chapters in action.
The experience that I have gained as Executive Director at the chapter level has helped me realize the best and most efficient methods on the best techniques to use when running an effective organization. I believe that with that experience, coupled with my brief tenure at the current position, I have the skill set needed to advance and better the region.
I am very excited to rejoin an excited and motivated team that Brian Gwozdz has assembled and I look forward to the opportunity to serve the region once again!
